About Us

We’re here to make entrepreneurship a real, understood option for every young person, not just the lucky few.

Most teenagers leave school knowing about university, apprenticeships, college and employment. But very few understand what it actually means to start something of their own.

We believe that gap shouldn’t exist.

What We Do

Or... Build It helps young people explore entrepreneurship with confidence, clarity, and honesty.

We teach the practical skills, the mindset, and the real-world understanding needed to turn ideas into meaningful projects, side-hustles, or full businesses.

Our aim isn’t to push everyone into becoming an entrepreneur.

Our aim is to make sure young people know what it is, know if it’s right for them, and know how to start safely and sensibly if they choose to try.

The Whole Picture - Not Just the Highlights

Starting something of your own can be exciting, creative, and empowering.

But it can also be stressful, uncertain, and demanding. We believe young people deserve to know both sides - the opportunities and the trade-offs.

So we teach things like:

  • The risks: money, time, reputation, and the emotional ups and downs.

  • The sacrifices: evenings, weekends, and sometimes saying “no” to other things you enjoy.

  • The pressure: being responsible for decisions and outcomes.

  • The learning curve: mistakes, false starts, and resilience.

But we also teach the rewards:

  • Independence

  • Creativity and control

  • Problem-solving skills students can use anywhere

  • Confidence and self-belief

  • Ownership of something real

  • Financial competence

  • Experience that employers value enormously

Entrepreneurship isn’t easy, but it is possible, and it can change a young person’s sense of who they are and what they can do.

We show them the reality so they can choose their path with open eyes.
